After retiring from firefighting in 2021, Austin Tower launched The Winnfield, his own barbershop in New Braunfels, Texas. He’s traded the heat of the flames for the art of fresh fades, creating a spot that’s all about clean cuts, style, and good vibes. Austin’s big on community and self-expression, welcoming anyone who works hard and wants to look their best. At The Winnfield, a haircut isn’t just about looks—it’s a chance to treat yourself and walk out feeling like a total badass.
Sarah Statham brings a wealth of expertise and passion to The Winnfield Barbershop. Born in Texas and raised in Austin, Sarah relocated to the beautiful New Braunfels last year. Her journey in hair began in junior high, styling friends’ hair every weekend, which led to a scholarship at Baldwin Beauty School in 1996. She honed her craft through the prestigious apprentice program at Jose Eber Salon, graduating in 1998, and went on to work at Austin’s top salons.
With a dynamic career spanning photo shoots, fashion shows, special event hair, special effects makeup, movies, and music videos, Sarah’s talent is unmatched. As the former owner of Method Hair for 14 years, her salon was voted Austin’s best for most of that time. Certified in nearly all major color lines and hair loss solutions, Sarah continuously elevates her skills through advanced education across the U.S. and Europe. A 2015 barber school graduate, she has judged numerous barber competitions and worked with celebrities, all while staying committed to charity work throughout her career.
